A complaint has been filed in Mumbai, Maharashtra against social media personalities Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija, popularly known as 'BearBiceps' and 'The Rebel Kid', as well as comedian Samay Raina, for allegedly using 'abusive language' on a show titled 'India's Got Latent'.

The complaint has been filed before the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women's Commission, seeking strict action against the 'accused' mentioned in the letter.

The letter quoted in the report alleged that such comments were made "with the intent to gain from the controversy, with no regard for the harm caused to the dignity of women or the negative impact on young viewers, particularly minors, who may have been exposed to these comments."

The show's organisers as well as content creators have been booked, news agency ANI reported. Content creators Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apurva Mukhija, along with the 'Beer Biceps' podcaster, had appeared on an episode of Raina's show.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also asked by reporters about the podcaster's remarks. To this, he said, "I have come to know about it. I haven't seen it yet. Things have been said and presented in a wrong way. Everyone has freedom of speech, but our freedom ends when we encroach upon the freedom of others."

Congress leader Supriya Shrinate also called Allahbadia's remarks "perverted". She said, "It is not constructive. It is perverted. And we cannot accept perverted behaviour as normal. The fact that this sick comment got loud applause should worry all of us."

Content creator Ranveer Allahbadia, who has over 50 lakh followers on Instagram and over 1 crore subscribers on YouTube, was given the 'Disruptor of the Year' award by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the National Creators Awards held at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi last year.
