President Draupadi Murmu arrived at the Mahakumbh, where she took a ceremonial dip at the Triveni Sangam and is scheduled to offer prayers at the Akshayvat and Bade Hanuman Mandir along with Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She will also visit the Digital Mahakumbh Experience Centre, which leverages advanced technology to provide devotees with an in-depth understanding of the event.
Even after the completion of 28 days and three Amrit Snans—Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami—the ghats remain packed, with over 1.57 crore pilgrims having taken the holy dip till 8 pm on Sunday. Devotees highlight the spiritual significance of the Sangam, believing it offers salvation beyond meditation and enlightenment.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami:
After taking a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his feelings and said, "I consider myself extremely fortunate that I got the opportunity to take a dip here. It is truly a blessing. The atmosphere is divine, and the arrangements made for the arrival of crores of devotees are excellent."
Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy:
Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy visited the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, where he saw a large number of devotees arriving for the holy dip. Talking about this experience, he said, "A large number of devotees are coming here for the holy dip. It is a good experience. I also came here and participated in the 'Shahi Snan'."
The spiritual fervour has not abated even after 28 days of Maha Kumbh and the completion of all the three Amrit Snans-Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya and Basant Panchami. On Sunday, all the 44 ghats along the Ganga witnessed a huge crowd of devotees.
