The party that ruled the country's capital Delhi for the longest time, today the people of Delhi have probably completely forgotten it. The Congress party, which ran the government continuously for 15 years in Delhi, has disappeared from the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 this time. The entire contest is limited to Aam Aadmi Party and BJP.

In the trends so far, the account is not seen opening on even one of the 70 seats in Delhi. If we talk about vote percentage, then Congress is looking in a very bad position. In the trends till 10.30 am, Congress has got only 6.86 percent votes.

In the current trends, out of 69, BJP is leading on 41 seats and Aam Aadmi Party on 28 seats. If Congress does not get a single seat this time too, then this will be the third consecutive time when Congress is completely rejected by Delhi.

Congress was in a bad shape in the last assembly elections held in Delhi in 2020. The party did not get a single seat. Its vote percentage was also only 4.26 percent. In 2015 also, Congress contested on all 70 seats, but could not win a single seat. The vote share was also only 9.7 percent.

If the rise of Aam Aadmi Party in 2013 has caused the most damage to anyone, then it is Congress. Before this election, Congress government was continuously in power in Delhi since 1998. But in 2013, the public elected its new leader.

A new party did a miracle. Congress, which formed the government with more than 40 percent vote share in the 2008 elections, fell to less than 25 percent vote share in 2013. The party's vote share was only 24.25 percent and the seats also decreased from 43 to just 8.
